As we’ve noted, the JVC KW-V130BT is a digital media receiver. If that sounded like gibberish, don’t worry. It essentially means it’s a car stereo for the 21st century.

This device allows you to connect your vehicle stereo to your phone. That, in turn, gives you the ability to listen to pretty much any music you want. It supports Pandora, Spotify, and iHeart Radio, and you can listen to Sirius XM as well.

With this technology, you could get rid of all your CDs if you wanted to (unless you tend to park in very remote areas without 3G or 4G cellular reception). Nearly all the music in the world is practically at your fingertips.

And while the JVC KW-V130BT isn’t the only digital media receiver in the world, there are a few things that make it stand out.

What Else Should You Learn in a JVC KW-V130BT Review

There are a few other facts you should learn in a JVC KW-V130BT review before buying this digital media receiver.

What can the JVC KW-V130BT do?

If you’re thinking about buying the JVC KW-V130BT, review its features first. Luckily, this device has more features than the average digital media receiver. For one, its Bluetooth connectivity allows you to connect two phones at once, which is twice as many as the average receiver.

Regardless of whether you have an iPhone or Android, just plug it into the USB port, and it will connect automatically. It also allows you to make hands-free calls.

On top of this, the JVC KW-V130BT lets you customize your sound in an astounding variety of ways. You can adjust the EQ however you like, and even adjust the timing of the sound output from each speaker. The display’s viewing angle is highly adjustable as well.

Is it difficult to install?

Unfortunately, many digital media receivers have a bad reputation for being difficult to set up and install. However, this isn’t the case with the JVC KW-V130BT. Most customers found the installation process to be incredibly easy. In every JVC KW-V130BT review, we’ve researched, not a single person has had any difficulty installing this product.

If you do have trouble getting started, you can find its manual online. Don’t be intimidated. The entire process is essentially nothing more than turning it on and following the onscreen instructions. Once you’re set up, the controls are very intuitive.

What do its customers think?

Customers rave about this product. In fact, we haven’t found a single negative JVC KW-V130BT review in all of our research.

Again, people found it extremely easy to set up and use. They also thought the sound quality was fantastic, and they loved its vast array of features. Overall, customers have been very happy about this purchase.

There’s only been one common complaint about this product. Sometimes, it is a bit slow to start up and connect.

For the most part, this was a minor issue, and it didn’t ruin most customers’ experiences. Virtually everyone felt it was well worth the price they paid. Plus, it currently has 5.0 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

How Much Will It Cost?

Unfortunately, there is one other major issue with the JVC KW-V130BT. It’s quite a bit more expensive than the average digital media receiver. It can cost anywhere from $180 to $250. And it’s not difficult to find a digital media receiver that’s almost half that price.

However, these are generally lower quality products that don’t have nearly as many features. Again, most people felt the JVC KW-V130BT was worth the cost.

You can find the JVC KW-V130BT online at Amazon, Sonic Electronix, Crutchfield, and Electronic Express. It’s also available in stores such as Walmart and Best Buy.

Sony MEX-N5200BT

No products found.

The Sony MEX-N5200BT is a good choice for those who like to play around with their EQ settings. This digital receiver comes equipped with a bass boost which adds a ton of lower end frequencies to your music.

It also features USB and AUX inputs in case you don’t have Bluetooth. Furthermore, it allows you to use Siri to find your music, so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road. Or you can change your music from the sofa while sipping your favorite beverage and relaxing.

Customers have generally been satisfied with this digital receiver. They enjoyed its features and loved its sound quality.

However, there have been a few issues as well. For one, many had problems setting it up. Its menus are very unintuitive. Also, it has the exact opposite problem as the Kenwood KMMBT315U. Its display is way too bright, which can be very distracting during the nighttime.

The Sony DSXA400BT typically costs between $70 and $120. The JVC KW-V130BT still loses in terms of price.

That said, you’ll find it much easier to use and much easier to set up than the Sony DSXA400BT. Amazon gave it 4.0 out of 5 stars.
